Alton Richardson specializes in capturing the essence of weddings and elopements in Northern Colorado and beyond. His expertise spans both modern and traditional weddings, as well as adventurous elopements.
With over a decade of experience in the Outdoor Industry, Alton’s background includes commercial and lifestyle photography, featuring world-renowned rock climbers and skiers from around the world. His work has been showcased in various outdoor magazines, brand catalogs and books. Alton’s storytelling-driven approach focuses on capturing natural, intimate moments, producing high-quality, one of a kind, signature masterpieces.
What is your Wedding Process?
I prefer to get to know my clients well beforehand. Ideally meeting locally for coffee, but I’m no stranger to Google or a FaceTime call either. Nothing beats personal connection and I want to learn about your wedding or elopements plans to determine if I’m a good fit to be your photographer!
From there, we will lock down booking, hash out a preliminary schedule & timeline, book an engagement session (if desired), finalize said timeline and then, it’s party time!
What is your style?
I take a mostly documentary approach to my photography while adding an element of fine art; capturing the intimate and quiet moments that happen throughout a day. I prefer to prompt rather then pose, providing opportunities for couples to interact naturally and organically. I focus heavily on natural light when possible, constantly play with the sun & shadows. My images are bold and epic, yet intimate and artistic.
What are your rates?
My rates and packages vary depending on the needs, location/s. My local wedding packages start around $1,750 and Elopement Packages start at $4,500. Engagement sessions start at $800.
I do offer select discounts to K-12 educators, First-Responders & active duty military.
